Mackenzie has lost her first tooth...

I don't know why we say they lost their tooth but I guess that is best way to put it right now. Mackenzie wasn't so sure what to think about her tooth that was "hurting her" as she says. But I noticed that her tooth started looking a little off and that everytime she might say something the postion of the tooth would change. So I took a look at it and it was getting to be a little loose. So this whole week she could hardly eat and kept saying that it hurt. So today Daddy and I noticed that it was really loose and so he decided to pull it and scared her half to death with the pliers he took out to get it with. She finally let him pull it and it took one pull and then it was out. I think she is relieved now.

Mackenzie this past week on picture day.

Mommy wanted to get a few pictures of her teeth before they started coming out.

Our princess has finally lost her first tooth. So cute!

Mackenzie's Big Day starting Kindergarten

Such a big milestone for us in the Tyler household this year. Our little girl started her first day of BIG school as she calls it. So excited I was surprised that she even slept the night before but she did. She got up ready to go and enjoyed her day. Her favorite part she said was lunch. Go figure. I'm just glad that she enjoyed the adventure so far.

Judah wanted to join in on the fun with having his picture taken. He pretty much wants to do anything that Mackenzie gets to do right now.

She was getting a little aggrevated at mommy for taking pictures. But I wasn't going to stop. These are great memories here.

In her classroom getting ready for her first task. She was ready even if it was 7:30 in the morning. Mommy needed a nap after dropping her off.

Some of the summer finally...

We have had a busy summer I tell you. As you can see I am finally updating the blog with pictures and some information from what we were able to do during the summer. Where I had left off was from our Disney trip and we sure were glad that we took that before the summer and had a break to be ready for the summer. Our church had VBS during June and we participated in that this year and really enjoyed the adventure. Mackenzie went to Camp Sonshine at church during the summer and truly enjoyed the activities that they did and being able to be with friends. After VBS we had other activities that we did with the students and enjoyed every one of them. Right at the end of June we found out that we are expecting again and I'm due March 3rd. Matt was really excited as I was a little nervous about welcoming a third Tyler into the world. Our children are so busy and active that they already keep me busy I can't imagine what the third will be like. But we are blessed to have another one on the way. We were able to see family some during the summer and we enjoyed their visits. Matt's parents came to visit one weekend in July and keep the kids while we took our college students to Big Kahuna's in Destin for the day. Janel's parents came for the week at the end of July to keep the kids while we went to camp with our students to Fringe Camp in Panama City Beach. Such a great way to end the summer and challenging our students before school. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Jason McCloud from Facing the Giants and Fireproof led some of our bible study times and hung out with us the whole week at camp.

Two of our girls, Kristen and Alli. Such sweet girls.

Another picture of more of our girls and they are all awesome. In this picture is Kim, Morgan, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Alex. We have the best girls in our group.

Some of our worship time with the JJ Weeks Band. They were great.

JJ Weeks teaching a breakout session on worship one day.

Jason McCloud teaching a breakout session on Leadership one day.

Matt at Big Kahuna's riding the Half Pike. He loves this picture and is proud he stayed on the whole time.

Some of our group at Big Kahuna's getting ready to enjoy the water and rides. To bad I couldn't, but the lazy river was great anyway.

I had to include these they are so cute. This is Mackenzie and our niece Ellie. They wore their matching PJ's and I wanted to get their pictures together getting ready for bed. Mackenzie was exicted that Ellie got to spend the night.

Aren't they cute?

The latest at our house...

We don't have any pictures to post right now due to the craziness of our house right now. However, we are doing well here spending time during the summer with the students and friends. As you saw on our recent post we went to Disney to spend some much needed family time away. We we returned we had to be ready to dive head first into our summer. Matt left the calendar open for certain events to be planned whenever and that has truly helped the summer to be enjoyable. Matt hasn't been feeling well recently but we are trying to figure it out with the help of three doctors in town. He is seeing our primary doctor, an ENT and our pediatrician friend doctor who attends our church. All of them have already been a blessing to us during this time. He first experienced a spell with vertigo in the spring and hasn't really felt well after that. His blood pressure was a little high and a few other things of concern have already been resolved. He has lost 25 lbs now using the EA Active program on the WII and is really pleased with the results. We are praying that they find out soon what is causing his dizzy spells. He had a sleep study this past week to make sure he is resting well because of some other symptoms. We are awaiting the next steps now. Please remember us in prayer during this time because it has caused him to have to slow down some and take care of himself. The kids are doing well and growing a lot. Judah really loves his little school he goes to three days a week while I work part-time and Mackenzie is really enjoying our church's summer camp program, Camp Sonshine this year. She will be starting kindergarten in August and boy we are not ready. I can't believe she will be going to the big school now this year. Hopefully we'll have pictures soon and can have a great update on Matt the next time I post. Have a blessed rest of the summer.

Disney Vacation

Memorial Day weekend we started our vacation and were so excited to get away for a break this year. This was the first year we had been able to take a week to ourselves and enjoy the family time. Last year a sweet couple from our church allowed us to stay at their beach condo for a few days to enjoy some much needed down time but since we were new at the church we didn't have a week long vacation. So this year we took the opportunity to enjoy the time away. We left the Saturday before Memorial early in the morning to get started on the 7+hour trek to Florida. The night before though Judah ran a fever and didn't sleep real well so we were a little discouraged about the vacation start, but we still went. He seemed much better later that Saturday afternoon. We arrived at my parents house Saturday afternoon to enjoy the heat before it got dark and let the kids play outside for a few minutes. They loved it. Anytime they get to be outside is the best. We were able to visit my parents church on Sunday morning and we were blessed with the opportunity to hear their new pastor preach. What a refreshing time to enjoy service when you aren't worried about the logistics of the service. We also enjoyed visiting friends and my parents enjoyed showing the grandkids off. We left after lunch headed to Disney and didn't tell Mackenzie where we were going because we wanted to surprise her. She had been begging for a year to go. She was so excited when we arrived and started asking tons of questions. (As to why we didn't tell her before hand where we were going) We stayed at Disney, Sunday through Thursday to enjoy Disney, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Of course Disney was the favorite. Our stay was nice but very tiring. Matt and I ended up getting sick while we were there with an ear infection and sinus infection and strep but thanks to the urgent care places (which I usually avoid) we started feeling better driving home on last Saturday. That is why it has taken so long to update the blog. We have been trying to get back to normal here. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we have going back through them.

Mackenzie seeing the castle for the first time. Priceless!

Our one of many attempts for a family shot. We got shoaked before this picture so not so great. Gotta love Florida rain.

Mackenzie's first ride she wanted to ride. She loved it.

Mackenzie and Judah meeting Belle. He loved her and didn't want to leave.

Sweet face looking at Daddy on the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.

Mackenzie and Mickey.

Mackenzie, Mary Poppins and Mommy.

Judah not wanting to see Winnie the Pooh at lunch. We did character meals for some of the meals we ate and he hated it. Poor kid didn't eat at most of the meals because he was scared.

Judah's first ride by himself.

Mackenzie fell asleep on the way back to the hotel the day we went to Disney. She had had enough.

Mackenzie and Belle at our princess lunch at Epcot. She her shirt she was ready.
Mackenzie and Snow White, her favorite.

Judah finally eating some lunch. He wasn't to scared of the princesses at this meal. Thank goodness, we were getting worried.

We thought the flowers were beautiful at Epcot and Mackenzie wanted her picture in front of Cinderella.

Mackenzie at our breakfast on our last day at Hollywood Studios. She is here with one of the Little Enstiens characters (sorry can't remember her name, maybe June?)

The family with Handy Manny our new favorite show. Judah still wasn't so sure even though Handy Manny is his favorite.

This might have been the best part. Riding in Papa's new wagon that goes behind his new lawnmower. They love playing outside at Nana and Papa's.

PreK4 Graduation and Last Day of School for Mackenzie

We had a great day today starting out with waking Mackenzie up to her last day of preschool. I can't believe we have made it this far already and the year is over. Is has really gone by way to fast. She is excited about being 5 now and getting ready for the BIG school. She has mentioned that she would like to stay where she is at and we would love it, too. The Christian Academy that she went to offers grades all the way up to 4th grade and continues to add one each year. They have been in the town for a little while but gradually are adding to their programs as needed. Of course their biggest is the PreK program. We are praying about the right direction for her. Please enjoy the pictures and the see the memories we made tonight and today celebrating. Summer here we come!

Mackenzie with her teachers: Ms. Mallory and Mrs. Tammy.

Mackenzie, Macey, Vanessa, Ashlyn and Clay.

Mackenzie and her classmates during the program, they were already getting sleepy and they had just started.

They sang songs that they had learned over the year and poems and bible verses. The list goes on and on of what they shared. She learned so much.

Happy 5th Birthday Mackenzie

Saturday, May 2nd was Mackenzie's 5th birthday and we were excited to be able to celebrate it on her actual birth day. We hadn't been able to have her party on her day before and she was so excited. The day before we took cupcakes to her class at school to celebrate and the first few pictures are from that celebration. All of the family came to spend the night with us Friday night and stayed until later in the afternoon on Saturday. Nana and Papa stayed until Sunday and they headed back to Florida Sunday morning. We had a family filled weekend and enjoyed the time greatly seeing family and celebrating.

Mackenzie's ladybug cupcake cake for her class.

We also got some other cupcakes for the kids in her class that couldn't have red food coloring or chocolate cake. They had fun eating a special snack that day.

Mackenzie trying to smile for the camera. This isn't her true smile though. She wouldn't do it for me.

Her cupcakes for her birthday that I made at home. She specifically requested ladybugs this year and made sure to remind me as we were planning the menu.

Our party attenders, our neighbors Lauren and Sarah Kathryn and Ellie and Tyler her cousins. She only wanted a few to come this year so it was smaller than last year.

Just after she blew out the candle. We always have the age appropriate candle to celebrate. This year it was the big 5.

We did a pinata(?) this year filled with tons of candy. Everyone went home with plenty.

Daddy giving Mackenzie and birthday kiss and love.

This one is a story in itself. The batteries to the jeep had run out so granddaddy was trying to keep up with the demand of the grandkids. Judah's expression is priceless. They were loving it that Granddaddy was the power this time.
